ONE® Observatory

Evidence to understand what happens before capacity is lost.

The National Observatory of Entropy studies how functional decline evolves across organizations, industries, and economic environments before its full impact becomes visible in productivity, execution capacity, or business performance.

Core Framework
INEO®
National Organizational Entropy Index

Provides the common observational framework ONE® uses to analyze patterns, compare contexts, and track how they evolve over time.

01
Monitors industries
02
Compares trends
03
Identifies patterns
Why ONE® Exists

Organizations rarely lose capacity all at once.

Operational decline typically develops through signals that remain beyond the reach of traditional indicators. ONE® was created to observe these signals, connect them, and interpret how they evolve before they directly affect execution, costs, or competitiveness.

01
Operational Friction
Processes that require more time, coordination, or effort than necessary.
02
Adaptive Capacity
Increasing difficulty adapting to change, pressure, or new demands.
03
Cumulative Overload
Sustained pressure that progressively reduces energy and operational capacity.
04
Productive Decline
A gradual loss of stability, efficiency, and execution capacity.
05
Incomplete Recovery
Decline that persists after crises, periods of peak demand, or operational disruptions.
What INEO® Measures

A common framework for comparing how operational capacity evolves across industries.

The National Organizational Entropy Index structures industry-level observation through five interconnected dimensions. Its purpose is to identify patterns of functional decline, adaptive vulnerability, and persistent deterioration before they become entrenched.

OP
Operational Pressure
The level of structural pressure sustained in relation to the functional capacity available.
PD
Productive Decline
The progressive loss of efficiency, stability, and execution capacity.
WF
Workforce Friction
Functional strain within the workforce structure and its impact on operational availability.
AV
Adaptive Vulnerability
Limited capacity to absorb technological, regulatory, or structural change.
SH
Industry Hysteresis
The persistence of decline following external disruptions or systemic change.

Strategic Conclusions from the Umivale Activa + IVIE 2025 Report

A Human Operational Intelligence® analysis of the workplace factors that precede absenteeism and temporary disability leave.

ONE® Strategic Document · Published June 2026
Key Finding
There is an earlier phase of deterioration that is still not being adequately monitored.

The analysis connects working conditions, accumulated fatigue, and human deterioration with the visible stage of disability leave.

368.7M
days lost to temporary disability in 2023
€81.574B
estimated economic cost of absenteeism
≈50%
associated with pain-related conditions and mental health

Reports and Publications

An observatory that will grow with the evidence.

Beginning in fall 2026, ONE® will progressively expand its publication program to analyze the evolution of organizational entropy across different scales, industries, and operational contexts.

01
Industry Reports
Industry-specific analyses of operational decline, pressure, and adaptive capacity across strategic sectors.
02
Comparative Analyses
Comparisons of patterns across industries, regions, time periods, and operating conditions.
03
Strategic Papers
Applied interpretation of relevant research through the Human Operational Intelligence® framework.
04
White Papers
Conceptual and methodological research on entropy, hysteresis, and human operational capacity.
Each publication will identify its sources, scope, period analyzed, and interpretive criteria to ensure a transparent, traceable, and responsible analysis.
Observational Framework

Observation also means recognizing the limitations of the data.

ONE® conducts observational and comparative analyses designed to understand complex systemic phenomena. Each conclusion is formulated within the scope of the available sources and the context in which the data was collected.

01
Identified Sources
Each publication identifies the source of the data, the period analyzed, and the supporting documentation used.
02
Comparable Framework
INEO® provides common criteria for comparing industries, operational contexts, and changes over time.
03
Responsible Interpretation
Findings clearly distinguish between observed data, HOI® interpretation, and the limits of their application.
From Observation to Action

ONE® identifies the patterns. HOI® turns that insight into informed decision-making.

Industry-level analysis provides an understanding of the broader context. Organizational measurement identifies where operational decline begins and how much capacity can realistically be restored.
